Yogi and experimental guitarist/engineer Andre LaFosse had been working for years on this all-remix project of tracks from Yogi’s 2001 debut album, Any Raw Flesh? Some of the mixes are song-form oriented, while others have been deconstructed to the point of unrecognizability. Each of them gives the listener a glimpse into specific parts by each instrument, and offers a second look at what was once some pretty straight ahead rock. My personal fave is Track 11, where “No More Evil” goes techno in a big way, and a bass fill becomes a motif for the song’s reconstructed “chorus.” If you have Any Raw Flesh?, you pretty much need this.
