Damn, do I wish I played on more than one track on this record. Then again, it was such a pleasure to not be an integral part of the making of it, because I was able to step back and listen to the record as a fan as opposed to a participant. I only heard the rough, no-vocals mixes for the first time in May, in the car on the "Dancing" tour. The next time I heard it, it was done. That was in September of 2001.

As far as "Thanksgiving" goes, I just happened to be down in San Diego, and Mike asked me to stop by the studio to do a song I hadn't heard before. I got there, charted out the form, and got it on the second take, I do believe.

And, for the record, Keneally's bass playing ain't too shabby either.
