From the ashes of the aborted MK/BFD Video Club rose this brainchild of Todd Dever, a Keneally enthusiast and Professional Video Man. The formative years of Mike Keneally and Beer For Dolphins were spent playing mostly one club, the now-defunct Bourbon Square, a seedy rocker bar deep in the bowels of the San Fernando Valley. The live material was taken from two Bourbon Square BFD trio shows with different drummers, one with Toss Panos, the other with Joe Travers. It's got a homey touch, somewhere in the charmed land between pro-shot and full-on amateur.

The really fun stuff occurs in between the live tunes, with tons of cameo footage, acoustic versions of unreleased tunes, and "interviews" staged in the oh-so-hip Santa Monica apartment of one of my ex-girlfriends. It also features the only official document of one of Keneally's more tortuous tunes, "Bob Dylan's Nose". Good stuff.
