The
"We're Not Here To Help" Tour 1.0, July-August, 1998

Near the end of the tour, with all involved sufficiently burnt, we
woke up in beautiful Durango, CO and had a wonderful breakfast.but
not before a seemingly interminable wait to be seated. Left to right:
'J', Cami Slotkin, Jason Harrison Smith, me. I do remember the local
paper leaving a lot to be desired in the national news department.

There's me and my rig from the 1998 tour--an SWR SM-400 head and an
extra power amp driving two SWR Goliath II 4x10's, with a pedalboard
consisting of an Octave, a Chorus, a switcher for the SansAmp PSA-1
I used for overdrive, and an A/A+B box I used when I wanted to kick
in the distorted 'B' rig--an SWR Interstellar Overdrive powered into
an SWR Goliath Jr. III 2x10. If you haven't noticed, I'm an SWR
loyalist to the core. Care about my gear in particular? Check out
the "for gearheads
only."

The tour met an ignominious end in a parking lot in San Diego, where
after a nightmarish drive through the desert (which included breakdowns,
overheating, and other unspeakable things) and a gig opening up for
Jethro Tull (OK, that wasn't too bad), we divvied up gear and luggage
among departing band members and said our tired goodbyes. As you can
see, Chatfield, Keneally and I were more than ready for a good night's
rest.
