Hello everyone,

I’m HOME! Ok, for six days, but I’m home. It counts.

Let’s set the table here:

2) THE ARISTOCRATS Wrap Up Asia/Australia – Mexico, South America and Dallas, TX Coming Up In November
3) JOE SATRIANI South America Tour in December

1) MIKE KENEALLY & BEER FOR DOLPHINS Tours Select U.S. Cities This Month!

This is so utterly true! Mike Keneally, Joe Travers on drums, and your humble narrator on bass will tour Chicago and the Eastern Seaboard of the USA in the first-ever and long overdue appearance of this classic configuration anywhere outside of Southern California. As many of you know, I have done more work with Mike Keneally than anyone else I know, and these tours of his don’t happen every year. I think he’s a genius, I have since I met him, and while I know there’s a lot of Keneally diehards on this list, perhaps there’s some folks out there who might know me from other projects who haven’t fully gone deep into Keneally’s stunning back catalog. If this describes you, this substandard condition must be rectified immediately. It’s for your own good, I tell you.

In a similar vein, I urge/beg/beseech/implore/demand that you come see us play this very cool and adventurous music if you live anywhere near the following cities/venues, and even if you don’t! I feel that strongly about it, I really do.

Mike Keneally (gtr/keyx/vox) * Bryan Beller (bass) * Joe Travers (drums)

OCT 22: Chicago, IL – Reggie’s (Progtoberfest II)
OCT 25: Plains, PA – River Street Jazz Cafe
OCT 26: New York City, NY – Leftfield NYC (CHANGED!)

2) THE ARISTOCRATS Wrap Up Asia/Australia – Mexico, South America and Dallas, TX Coming Up In November

First off, a huge THANK YOU to Aristocratic fans around the world in Japan, Thailand, India, Nepal, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Australia who came out to see the tour we just wrapped up a few days ago. It continues to astound me that so many people know who we are and care about what we do. The best way to relive what happened over there is to go to The Aristocrats Facebook Page and just scroll down. Lots of pictures and interesting locales await. (My own personal Facebook page has a few unique moments as well.)

I want to give a special shout out to THUMP MUSIC in Australia for making that leg of the tour happen. Australia is a special challenge for smaller outfits like ours to tour, because you have to fly to every show and there’s not as many people there as you might think. But what they lack in number they make up for in sheer Aussie audacity. And I’m not even referring to the biker wedding bar fight – complete with guys breaking off pieces of wood from chairs and stands and using them as weapons against each other – that we saw upon our arrival in Perth. As the locals told us, welcome to Australia. Anyway, thank you THUMP!

I also want to thank the folks at THE HUMMING TREE and UP YOUR ARTS in India for similar heroic efforts in that sometimes challenging country in terms of club touring. I could seriously spend all day writing about the manic, vibrant, chaotic culture that is India. I truly don’t know how to summarize it in language so I won’t even try. I’ll just say it was unforgettable.

What now? In November we’re off to Mexico and then South America for our first-ever tour there…and then we wrap up the whole Tres Caballerostouring cycle in style at The Sanctuary in McKinney (Dallas), Texas. If you’re in the USA and have even a thought of going to the Dallas show, I endorse this sentiment. We’re doing a band clinic *and* a special non-standard setlist for this unique night.
