The Aristocrats “Culture Clash” Available For Pre-Order NOW, Drops July 16…Plus New Preview Now Up

Tuesday, June 25th, 2013

Well, my laptop died for 5 days while I was in Germany on tour with Joe Satriani. Did that stop me? What do you think? :-) (And yes, the Satch tour is going awesomely well; superhuge thanks to his fans all over Europe, many of whom I met for the first time.)

But the big news is this: The Aristocrats’ “Culture Clash” is now available for presale at The Aristocrats Webstore! The 9-song Regular Edition CD, Deluxe Edition CD + Bonus DVD (“making of the CD” style documentary featuring studio footage and exclusive interviews), a new t-shirt, and all that good stuff.

AND there’s going to be a double-album vinyl release, but that won’t happen until the end of the summer. Stay tuned for that if you’re a vinyl freak.

Either way, you should check out the brand new 6-minute audio montage preview of the whole album, exclusively at Music Radar. The link is below. Can you spot all 9 songs? And figure out who wrote them? If so, you win the internet.

There’s also this trailer of the Bonus DVD, shot in full-on documentary style. Makes us look all historical, and such as.

And for god’s sakes, man, don’t forget about the tour:

Exclusive Sneak Preview Of The Aristocrats’ “Culture Clash” Bonus DVD Now Up At!

Monday, June 10th, 2013

And so it begins…with me shamelessly stealing text from The Aristocrats’ website about the following important news:

It’s finally time to officially launch The Aristocrats’ “Culture Clash” publicity extravaganza, starting with a sneak preview of the bonus DVD “Accept The Mystery: The Making Of The Aristocrats’ ‘Culture Clash’”, now up exclusively at Guitar World’s website. It comes with the Deluxe Edition of “Culture Clash” and features a 33-minute documentary-style movie of us behind the scenes in Nashville, in the studio tracking the new album. Plus there’s interviews and other fun candid stuff.

Look for more exclusive previews to come. Release date is July 16. And we’re pretty damned sure the presale will go live at The Aristocrats’ webstore on Monday, June 24. It’s all finally here. Almost.

Meanwhile, I’m having more fun than any bassist should be allowed to have touring Europe with Joe Satriani, and fellow bandmates Mike Keneally and Marco Minnemann. Here’s one of the multitude of pix of Satch & I jamming out (photo by Erik Luyten).

Many more can be found on my Facebook page. There’s near-daily updates going on over there, so don’t get left behind, people. You don’t want to be that guy.
